Muslim Human Library

Ever wanted to know more about Muslims or Islam? Would you like to meet a Muslim and have a conversation with them? We held an event to give people the chance to do just that!

On Thursday 8th September, the Islamic Council of NSW hosted Australia’s first ever Muslim Human Library. An evening of engagement with living Australian Muslim human ‘books’, that you can borrow for in-depth conversations that will facilitate greater understanding and connection.

Each reader selected three “books to read” over the course of the evening, from a selection of more than 20 Muslim books from all walks of life.

This event was proudly sponsored by AusRelief and was an amazing success! With an incredible turnout, we were delighted to see Bankstown’s Bryan Brown Theatre brimming with Australian Muslims and non-Muslims from all walks of life, with so many meaningful and profound conversations taking place throughout the day.
