As part of its Islamic Awareness Month, the Islamic Council of NSW hosted a Media Engagement Dinner to supercharge Muslim community media relations.
It was a delight to see journalists introduced to new Muslim faces, perspectives and stories. Additionally, young Muslim journalists and graduates were able to enjoy meeting more senior journalists and media professionals – Further strengthening Muslim journalists as a body within the media industry by facilitating ongoing networking opportunities.
It was an amazing night – An intimate dinner setting with an amazing chef’s buffet; journalists and community members in attendance, and invaluable networking opportunities – We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did, and left with actionable insights!
We hope to host more exciting, stimulating panel discussions with unique perspectives on the Muslim community and ways of thinking about meaningful representation.
